Gardner Dunn has been on the leading edge of the beverage alcohol scene in New York City for more than 12 years. As Brand Ambassador for Suntory Whisky, he has taken his career to the next level. In 2010, he received the Whisky Guild's most prestigious award, "Brand Ambassador of the Year, 2010." In his fifth year working with Suntory, USA, Dunn has seen the results of his efforts in the tremendous growth of the Japanese Whisky category. During his tenure, Suntory has received an estimated 80 awards. Dunn continues to hone his professional skills by making frequent trips to Japan to learn more about the culture, whisky trends and to study at the Suntory distillery with the Master Blender and Chief Distiller. He applies his knowledge at tastings and seminars that he conducts around the country on the complexities and history of Suntory Whiskies. A graduate of the Beverage Alcohol Resource, Dunn was also a star barman at some of New York City's top venues including Butter, PM, Tribeca Grand Hotel, Table 50, A Voce, Cain, and the Spotted Pig, Gardner also represented New York City in the 2005 Cocktail World Cup, hosted by 42 Below in New Zealand, and Cabana Cachaca competition in Brazil. Gardner Dunn is a resident of New York City.
