John Hansell Whisky Advocate was created by John Hansell and his passion for whisky (which he obviously went off the deep end with). He blames it on his missionary parents, who told him early on that alcohol was the work of the devil. He also created WhiskyFest after realizing that, while Whisky Advocate is great to read, it's not really that much fun to drink. John is among the very few inducted into both the Bourbon Hall of Fame and the Keepers of the Quaich, to which he credits the prolific use of smoke and mirrors. |
